Description

IWK Health is issuing this Request for Proposal for a Feasibility Study for the Women’s Building third floor redevelopment. The project area will consist of approximately 27,570sf and include the Birth Unit rooms (14), the Birth Unit ORs (3), the Women’s ORs (3), the Women’s Health Program PACU, and the Women’s Health Program Pre-Admission space. The area will also include all support spaces for the department. The space has not been significantly redeveloped since the building was constructed in 1992. The ORs and
Perioperative space are beyond life expectancy and the footprint does not meet the current or future demands of the population growth. Transforming the infrastructure is critical to ensuring there is a positive impact on surgical wait times, quality of care and patient safety.
