Overview
Summary

The County of San Mateo is soliciting proposals from qualified firms, individuals, nonprofit organizations, and other entities to deliver a specialized training curriculum to support its new Stationary Engineer Training Program. The Stationary Engineer Training Program is a comprehensive program designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to become proficient in operating, maintaining and repairing various systems and equipment in various facilities maintained by the County’s Department of Public Works - Facilities Division. Stationary Engineers, under general supervision, operate, maintain and repair electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and ventilating systems and equipment in County-operated buildings; and perform related duties as assigned.

The selected contractor will be responsible for:

  • Delivering training sessions, either in-person (classroom instruction) or through a combination of live instruction and Zoom, covering the training components outlined in the Stationary Engineer Training Program Components section of the RFP (Section 2.4).
  • Evaluating individual participants on the course content.

Proposers may submit bids on the full program or specific course components. Training format – live or hybrid live and Zoom - will be based on bidder’s course content.
