North Salem Water System Improvements
The City of Salem is seeking sealed proposals from qualified Offerors to provide engineering services for the design, construction contract administration, and construction inspection for the construction of a 336,000-gallon water storage tank, upgrade of two pump stations, installation of approximately 28,000 feet of 12 & 8-inch waterline and associated appurtenances
in Salem, Virginia, in accordance with Request For Proposal (RFP) # 2025-019.
There will be a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Water Treatment Plant at 1300 Tidewater Street, Salem, Virginia, 24153, to answer any questions from interested parties. A site visit along a portion of the sewer path will follow.
Sealed proposals will be accepted in the City of Salem Purchasing Department, located at 114 North Broad Street, Salem, Virginia 24153, on or before 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at which time the proposals will be opened. The City of Salem reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any or all informalities or irregularities in any proposal. The City reserves the right to award as it deems in the best interest of the City of Salem.
No proposal may be withdrawn after opening except for clerical errors, as set forth in Section 2.2-4330 of the Virginia Code. Offeror must give the City a notice in writing of the request to withdraw a proposal within two (2) business days after conclusion of opening.
