Operation and Maintenance of Outdor Kiosk

General. This RFP covers the operation and maintenance of an outdoor kiosk located on 68th Street and Lexington Avenue on the east side corner at Hunter College (“College”) of The City University of New York (“CUNY”). It is issued by the Hunter College Auxiliary Enterprises Corporation (the “Corporation”). In this RFP, references to “we”, “us” or “our” mean the Corporation, and references to “you” or “your” mean each and every recipient of, and, as applicable, respondent to, this RFP.

Objective. Our objective is to identify a qualified concessionaire to operate and maintain the kiosk. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing high-quality services to the College community and neighborhood while adhering to the specified licensing terms, including financial commitments and operational restrictions. This RFP seeks proposals that demonstrate strong financial capability, relevant experience, and a well-structured operational plan to ensure a successful and compliant concession.

Term of Contract. We anticipate that the term of the Outdoor Kiosk Operations Contract will be 3 years with two 1-year renewal options with a rent escalation of 5% per annum beginning on year 2. However, we are willing to consider a longer renewal term.

License fee/Minimum License fee: proposers are encouraged to offer a license fee that is realistic and allows for the costs of running a successful kiosk, including adhering to the parameters of the license. However: Proposals offering a licensee fee below $2800/month will not be considered
