The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division's Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) Consortium, Maritime Sustainment Technology and Innovation Consortium (MSTIC), current has three (3) projects being solicited in an ADHOC Cycle, FY24-01A. The RPP has been posted and closes on 12/14/2023. Below is high level detail of the projects. Large Scale Mast Raising Equipment
Background: Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is seeking Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) concept designs that will improve the tactical performance of naval submarines by reducing sail size, while maintaining full capability of systems typically located in the sail.
Problem Statement: The Government is seeking concept designs of large-scale mast raising equipment that would be located in areas other than an outboard sail. An ideal mast would possess the characteristics outlined in the supporting documents.
Three-Stage Mast Development
Background: Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is seeking Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) concept designs that will improve the tactical performance of naval submarines by reducing sail height, while maintaining full sail capability
Problem Statement: This document is seeking concept designs of three stage modular mast raising equipment. An ideal three stage mast would possess the characteristics outlined in the supporting documents.
Mast with Launch and Recovery Module
Background: Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is seeking Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) concept designs that will improve the tactical performance of naval submarines. This includes the ability to launch and recover small towed / deployable sensor from a vertical mast HM&E system in the sail.
Problem Statement: This document is seeking concept designs of HM&E technology that incorporates a tethered payload that is deployable and recoverable from modular vertically mounted support structure. An ideal concept mast would possess the characteristics outlined in the supporting documents.
