6. Some schools experienced abnormally high breakage rates on the M1 bezels. Did Kirkwood
experience this in their fleet?
○ Kirkwood did observe some bezel damage on our M1 devices; however, we do not track bezel
cracks separately from display-related damage, as both are handled through the same repair
process. Bezel issues were a common form of damage in the fleet, and any identified cases
were repaired according to our standard procedures.
7. Are the devices available for inspection prior to bid submission deadline?
○ Unfortunately, these devices are still in use by staff and students and won't be available for
inspection before the RFP due date.
8. The RFP document says "Apple M1 (I-core) processor” in the description. Is it an M1 or Intel?
Please confirm.
○ To clarify, the devices included in this RFP are equipped with the Apple M1 Processor. They are
not intel based systems. The reference to 1-core in the description is intended to indicate the
processor class but these units specifically contain Apple’s M1.
