The City of Pontiac is soliciting quotes from qualified vendors to provide a professional fireworks display for the 3rd Annual City of Pontiac Juneteenth Freedom Day Festival on June 14, 2025 at City Hall or a location, to be determined, downtown Pontiac. The selected vendor will be responsible for planning, permitting, setup, execution, and post-event cleanup of the display in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
The City of Pontiac Juneteenth Freedom Day commemorates the end of slavery in our Nation, promotes unity, and instills pride in the community's rich heritage. It is a safe, family-friendly celebration of Black/African culture that is open to all residents. Fun for the whole family includes a variety of great music, food/drinks, merchandise vendors, information, and resources. The event's grand finale is a spectacular fireworks show.
