Conklin Cottage Mold Remediation

Mold Remediation at Conklin Cottage (residence TA-56) located at Fahnestock State Park in Cold Spring, NY.

All work will occur according to the attached Mold Assessment Report supplied by Paradigm Environmental Services and following all Specific and General Remedial Recommendations contained within.

Remediation Contractors must be insured NYS Licensed Mold Remediation Specialists.

Includes removal and disposal of contaminated material.

Work will include the following:

Bedroom Above Ceiling (Approximate size 20sqft)

• Establish containment, clean removable objects, and remove from space.
• Open ceiling approximately 2 feet east and 3 feet north of the ceiling light fixture.
• Remove wet and visibly contaminated materials to eighteen (18) inches past last visible sign of contamination.
• Wood components that cannot be removed should be either sanded or treated by dry ice remediation methods.

• Clean remaining materials not removed with an EPA approved cleaner such as Simple Green Pro 3D or equivalent.
• Encapsulate all surfaces remaining with an EPA approved encapsulant such as Fiberlock IAQ 6000 Mold Resistant Coating or equivalent.
• Follow up with a post remediation clearance visual assessment with tape lift or mold air samples at the discretion of the Mold Assessor.

Basement (Approximate size 1100sqft) Spray-Foam insulation & walls

• Establish containment, clean removable objects, and remove from space.
• Remove visibly contaminated materials to eighteen (18) inches past last visible sign of contamination.
• Wood components that cannot be removed should be either sanded or
  treated by dry ice remediation methods.
• Clean all remaining materials not removed with an EPA approved cleaner such as Simple Green Pro 3D or equivalent.
• Encapsulate all surfaces remaining with an EPA approved encapsulant such as Fiberlock IAQ 6000 Mold Resistant Coating or equivalent.
• Follow up with a post remediation clearance visual assessment with tape lift or mold air samples at the discretion of the Mold Assessor.
• This RFQ is for remediation/removal/disposal only. All repairs and reconstruction will be completed by others.
