The City of Anacortes will accept sealed bids online for “Fire Detection, Suppression, and Inspection Services #26-205-FAC-001”,” until 3:00 p.m., local time on July 23, 2026, when bids will be publicly opened and read through Zoom. The City will not consider bids received after that time and date. Sealed Bids are to be submitted online to City of Anacortes eProcurement portal, Bonfire, at

no later than due date and time listed in solicitation document. All Bids and Proposal will be electronically date and time stamped as they are submitted. Bids cannot be accepted if submitted by hard copy, mail, facsimile, or e-mail.
Project Description: The City of Anacortes is issuing this solicitation to purchase certain specified fire detection, suppression, and inspection equipment and systems and related specified testing, monitoring, maintenance, and repair services performed by qualified professionals in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal fire codes (collectively, “Fire Detection, Suppression, and Inspection Services”). Job sites include, but are not limited to, the Wastewater Treatment Plant and related buildings, Water Treatment Plant located in Mount Vernon, WA and related buildings, City Hall, three Fire Stations, Public Safety Building, Public Works Operations Facility, Public Library, Senior Activity Center, Museum, Depot Arts Center, and the WT Preston. It is anticipated that the annual dollar volume for this work will be approximately $23,000 annually, but may fluctuate depending on budget, projects scheduled and need, and no guarantee is made of the actual value of the work. The term of this contract shall be for a period of three years from September 1, 2026-August 31, 2029. Contract is not to exceed a total of three years or $100,000.00, whichever comes first.
Bid Deposit: Bidders must submit a bid deposit of $5,000.00 (equal to 5% of the contract amount). The deposit may be in cashier’s check, postal money order, or surety bond. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bonds for the faithful performance of the work, as prescribed in the Bidding Documents.
