Overview

Summary

The project consists of the construction of a new partial parallel taxiway on the east side of Runway 18-36 from the end of Runway 36 to Taxiway "G". These new taxiways will provide aeronautical access to the Airco property for any future aviation-related tenants.

Background

This former golf course is approximately 130 acres in size and is intended for future aeronautical uses. Planning for the project began approximately twenty (20) years ago. Several studies have been performed during this period to determine the land use and zoning requirements for industrial and commercial purposes. The construction of this taxiway would be a necessary component to allow for the future aeronautical development on this site.

An Environmental Assessment was performed and a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Record of Decision (ROD) was obtained in 2020.
