Sole Source-HCBS Strategies 2026

Need to exert considerable effort in obtaining a detailed understanding of:
• ACL requirements for third-party evaluators for the ADPI grants
• All the components that comprise the Providing Alzheimer’s ‘n Dementia Assistance (PANDA) initiative, including the evidence-based practices, training, and community-outreach.
• The TCARE caregiver support system including the theoretical framework, assessment and outcome items, and data extraction and reporting systems.
• The program operations for the two AAAs that will be sustaining their operations under this grant. This includes understanding how their current PANDA operations, data collection, and reporting mechanism work.
• Alabama’s current methodologies for Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) used with the AAAs and other potential sources of financing for sustaining the initiative.
