The initial agreement term shall commence on October 1, 2026 and expire on September 30, 2027, with the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement of both parties, for a maximum potential agreement term of five (5) years.
This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). Proposals will be evaluated by a Lakeland Electric staff selection committee on the basis of qualifications, demonstrated experience, quality of service, customer references, responsiveness, safety performance, and pricing.
Lakeland Electric owns, operates, and maintains an electric utility serving the greater Lakeland area. Generation assets include the McIntosh Power Plant (Unit 5, MGT1, MGT2, and MREP), the Winston Peaking Station, and the Larsen Power Plant.
