Lead-Acid Battery Banks for Pinnacles National Park

(i)        This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial products prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The National Park Service contemplates award of a firm-fixed-price purchase order as a result of this combined synopsis/ solicitation.
This is currently an unfunded requirement with a high expectation that funds will be available. When and if funds become available a contract will be awarded at that time.

(ii)        This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), No. 140P8425Q0001.

(iii)        This solicitation document and incorporated FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2025-01 and are available in full text through Internet access at http://www.acquisition.gov/far/.

(iv)        This is a 100% Total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335910 with a corresponding small business size standard of 1,250 employees.

(v)        This RFQ contains one line item: Battery Banks, HUP Solar-One 85-33 (or Equal), Quantity: 28

(vi)        Description: The salient characteristics to meet the requirement of or Equal are as follows: Lead-Acid, 12V DC, minimum 20-hour Ah rating: 1690, minimum usable 20-hour Ah rating: 1352, maximum dimensions: 40 x 13.5 x 25 (inches), maximum weight: 1,336 lbs., minimum warranty: 7-year free replacement plus three years prorated. Battery banks consist of six batteries, for a total of 168 individual batteries. Batteries must meet industry standards for deep cycle performance and longevity and must comply with all relevant environmental regulations and include technical support for installation.

(vii)        Delivery is FOB Destination, Pinnacles National Park, West Pinnacles, Operations Building, Generator Room, 30 miles south of Salinas via Highway 101 and 10 miles east of Soledad via Highway 146.
