The objective is to secure competitive pricing, reduce rate volatility, comply with Connecticut clean energy goals, and leverage modern energy data and reporting capabilities. The selected supplier(s) will be responsible for delivering energy to various city-owned buildings and facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Suppliers must meet the Minimum Qualifications outlined in the Statement of Qualifications and be approved by the City of New Haven in advance of submitting price offers (Phase 2) pursuant to this RFQ/RFP.

This procurement is for multi-year retail electric supply with a block and index contract structure and firm service provided to the municipal accounts of the City of New Haven, Connecticut (“City”), including but not limited to its schools, public safety operations, and major municipal buildings. This procurement does not extend to private or residential electric service. Please note that this RFQ/ RFP requires prequalification and acceptance of the City’s Standard Terms (located under the attachments). We encourage interested Respondents to determine whether they meet the qualifications and submit the required certifications and documentations to the City for review and approval before they begin developing price offers (Phase 2).
