Description

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Cowichan Valley Regional District (the “CVRD”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Adaptation (DRRCA) Resiliency Planning and Implementation, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). The Cowichan Regional DRRCA project seeks a qualified consultant to support the planning and implementation of disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation strategies. This initiative is fully funded through the Community Emergency Preparedness Fund (CEPF), covering 100% of project costs. The project aims to enhance risk resiliency by: • Assessing vulnerabilities related to climate change and disaster risks. • Developing mitigation strategies and adaptation plans. • Identifying policy and governance improvements. • Supporting education and community preparedness initiatives.
