NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland are soliciting bids for the project:
2024 GENE MASON COMPLEX POURED IN PLACE SAFETY SURFACING
CITY PROJECT NO. 2024-21-RECR
Completed bids shall be submitted to the City of Cumberland’s online solicitation website, until but not after 2:00 p.m., local time, on 12/6/2024. All Bids will be virtually released at 2:00 p.m. on that date and available to view on the website. Released bid information does not constitute any award has been made.
Project Description:
The City of Cumberland (hereafter referred to as the “City”) is soliciting proposals from established and qualified vendors for the installation of an unitary poured in place rubberized safety surfacing at the Gene Mason Sports Complex situated in the City of Cumberland, as detailed in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The City is looking for a vendor to install rubberized safety surfacing as well as an established border at the playground situated in the Gene Mason Sports Complex. The existing playground equipment is to remain and the safety surfacing to be installed around it. The selected vendor will be required to coordinate the final design with the Parks and Recreation Department to ensure a coordinated and cohesive finished product that benefits the community. The selected vendor will be required to coordinate the installation of the rubberized safety surfacing with the City to minimize the duration of the playground closures.
A "Non-Mandatory PREBID SESSION” for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions of parties interested in performing the work, relative to construction details, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on 11/21/2024 at the Gene Mason Sports Complex Playground (351 Mason Rec Road, Cumberland, MD 21502).
The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.
