NOTICE OF MARINE PATROL DISPATCH CONTRACT WORKER POSITION
The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) will accept applications until 10:00
a.m. on September 18, 2026 for the purpose of hiring one (1) Marine Patrol Dispatch Contract
Worker.

The minimum qualifications for this position include:
Education: Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED or High
School Equivalency Diploma); and,
Substitution Statement: Related education and related experience may be substituted on
an equal basis. The hourly pay rate will be determined by level of experience in emergency
telecommunications work within the range listed in the job posting.
Other: Within twelve (12) months of hire date, persons employed into this occupational
class must successfully complete the certification requirements/minimum training
standards for telecommunicators as set forth by the Board of Emergency
Telecommunications Standards and Training. This requirement is in accordance with
section 19-5-353 of Miss. Code Ann., and is necessary for conferment of permanent state
service status.
This position pays $15.00-$18.00 per hour depending on experience and is for a maximum of 28
