Description
The Government of Canada (GC) is seeking to modernize and optimize Managed Backup and Recovery Software across a range of environments, including on-premises data centres, private, hybrid and public cloud environments. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather comprehensive insight from industry on all viable approaches, services, backup and recovery models that support scalable, flexible, secure, and resilient backup and recovery of all GC information systems.
The GC is seeking industry input on the current and emerging landscape of managed backup and recovery software, with a view of informing future procurement strategies. While the primary focus is on backup and recovery technology, the RFI also considers ransomware mitigation as a feature that is often integrated as part of a backup and recovery software solution. The objective is to establish procurement vehicles that provide flexible access to managed backup and recovery software and supporting services, to meet the Government’s diverse operational and security requirements.
Through this initiative, the GC seeks to reduce risk, increase agility, and ensure long-term protection of its IT infrastructure and data by enabling departments to access multiple managed backup and recovery software solutions that best fit their evolving business and technical requirements.
Please refer to the RFI Documentation for instructions on how to submit a Response.
Questions: Questions concerning this RFI must be directed to the Contracting Authority.
