2026 State Street Patching Program

The proposed improvements consist of full-depth concrete patching, utility structure repairs and adjustments, sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, and other work associated with the replacement of approximately 2,526 square yards of existing pavement and approximately 5,874 square feet of existing sidewalk along State Street from 17th Street to 23rd Street within the City of Bettendorf, Iowa.
The bidder to whom the Contract is awarded shall commence work no later than the date to begin work set forth in a Notice to Proceed, issued by the City, or its authorized representative, to the Contractor at the preconstruction meeting. All work shall be done in strict compliance with the plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer of the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department of Bettendorf, Iowa.
Work shall be completed between April 27, 2026, and August 1, 2026. The beginning and completion dates will be included in and made part of the contract between the successful bidder and the City. Liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars and no/100 ($500.00) per calendar day shall be charged for every day past the completion date.
