A bidder has made the following request, and the Department has provided the
corresponding response:
Bidder Question: Is there a maintenance period for the project area after
substantial completion?
Department Response: Yes, see revised Intermediate Contract Time Number 1 And
Liquidated Damages (ICT 1) listed below.
Bidder Question: Are there any areas of soil that are unsuitable and need to be
replaced with stable soil?
Department Response: We do not anticipate that undercut excavation will be
necessary; however, we have included 75 cubic yards (CY) of undercut
excavation in the estimate as a contingency.
Bidder Question: Need clarification that the project is in the middle of the
highway and does not include the outside edge near the guardrails. Is this
correct?
