Description
Sealed Bids: Sealed bids for construction of the project entitled 2022 GEFA Water System. Improvements will be received until 2:00 PM, Dec. 19, 2024 at the City Hall Commissioner Chambers located at 302 South Madison Avenue, Douglas, GA 31533, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. Mailed bids shall be addressed to Wynetta Bolder, City Clerk, 302 South Madison Avenue, Douglas, GA 31533.
Work To Be Done: The Work to be completed for the 2022 GEFA Water System Improvements is described briefly as follows:
In general, construction shall consist of installation of approximately 9,600 LF of 8 and 12 water main. The water main will be installed through a combination of open cut and jack and bore methods. The project also includes preliminary potholing/investigative work, tying into existing mains, installation of fire hydrants, service transfers, and asphalt/concrete removal and replacement for impacted areas.
