Project Description: The objective of this RFP is increase prescription efficiency and utilize staff in the pharmacies to increase volume for mail order, specialty, and meds-to-beds by installing prescription automation in two of our busiest retail pharmacy operations. The UMC Outpatient Pharmacy locations process approximately 4000 prescriptions per day, all by manual counts. Our 2 busiest locations, UMC El Paso and UMC Pharmacy 6 (on Joe Battle), process upwards of 1500 prescriptions a day with expectations to increase 10-20% on an annual basis based on 2023-2024 rate of change. Automation, which would count, bottle, and label patient prescriptions facilitating current pharmacy staff to work on the floors in the clinic and inpatient space to drive volume up for the UMC Outpatient system.
