DOCUMENT HOLDERS on the above-named project are hereby notified that this document shall be appended
to, take precedence over, and become part of the original bidding documents dated June 2026 for this work. Bids
submitted for the construction of this work shall conform to this document.
This addendum consists of two (2) pages plus an attachment.
Changes to Bidding Requirements:
1. Revise Section 00 98 00 Special Provisions.
a. Revise Section 98 604 SIDEWALKS AND CURB RAMPS as follows:
i. Remove and replace the last paragraph in the section with the following paragraph.
Sidewalks at drives shall be 7-inches thick and reinforced with 6”x6” 10-gage welded wire
reinforcing, or fiber reinforced concrete as approved by the Owner/Engineer and shall be
considered incidental to the cost of sidewalk.
b. Remove Section 98 610 APPROACHES in its entirety.
2. Revise Section 01 11 00 Summary of Work. Remove and replace with the attached.
Bidder Questions:
1. Of the locations provided, which of these have sidewalk through the driveways? I.e. Which locations include
the 7 inch sidewalk remove and replace item?
ANSWER: Section 01 11 00 Summary of Work has been revised to indicate addresses with 5
inch and 7 inch sidewalk sections. The locations have been marked with paint by Town
personnel. Contractor shall verify locations, and if any questions arise, they should be forwarded
to the Town.
2. Are the ADA curb ramps only located on Manor Ave.?
ANSWER: Yes.
3. Are Sunnyside Ave, Manor Ave, and Manor Ave to be the full length of the blocks removed and replaced?
ANSWER: The locations have been marked with paint by Town personnel. Contractor shall verify
locations, and if any questions arise, they should be forwarded to the Town.
4. Is INDOT #53 slag allowable to be used for the compacted aggregate base?
ANSWER: No.
5. The driveway sidewalk is labeled as 7 inches in the bid item, and 6 inches in the specs. Should this driveway
sidewalk be 7 inches thick or 6 inches?

ANSWER: Driveway sidewalk is 7 inches. The specification section has been revised.
6. What is the thickness of the aggregate base to be placed under the sidewalk, ramps, and drives?
ANSWER: 6 inches.
7. If roots under the walk are encountered, does the Town want to remove these or does the town want the
contractor to remove these?
ANSWER: Contractor is responsible for removal of all materials, including roots, hindering the
placement of concrete and base course.
8. Is the aggregate placement beneath walks to be incidental and dependent on the conditions seen once the
sidewalks have been removed?
ANSWER: Aggregate placement is incidental and shall consist of 6 inches of new material.
Note: Receipt of this Addendum No. 1 dated July 15, 2026 shall be acknowledged on Page 00 41 00-2 of the
submitted Bid Form. Failure to do so may subject Bidder to disqualification.

1.04 WORK UNDER OTHER CONTRACTS
A. No other work is anticipated.
1.05 CONTRACTOR USE OF PREMISES
A. Confine operations at Site to areas permitted under contract or as directed by Owner.
B. Conform to site rules and regulations affecting Work while engaged in Project construction.
C. Existing Structures:
1. Keep existing sidewalks, driveways, and adjacent streets clear and available to public in
accordance with Owner’s or local authority’s requirements.
2. Repair damages caused to existing public and private property and structures due to operations
of Contractor to the satisfaction of, and at no additional cost to Owner.
D. Construction personnel may park only in areas designated by the Owner.
E. Damaged Property:
1. Patch and/or clean existing improvements and restore damage of property on, or adjacent to Site
occasioned by this Work, including, but not limited to, lawns, walks, curbs, pavements, roadways,
structures, and utilities which are cut or damaged by operations and are not designated for
removal, relocation, or replacement in the course of construction.
2. Public Property or Utilities: Comply with laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, standards, orders of
utility owner or any public authority having jurisdiction.
3. Provide written acceptance of restoration work by authority or Owner.
F. Product Requirements:
1. Confine stockpiling of materials or equipment to areas indicated.
1.06 OCCUPANCY REQUIREMENTS
A. General Requirements:
1. Cooperate with Owner to minimize conflict with the Owner and the public.
2. Schedule the Work to accommodate this requirement.
3. Coordinate activities which could cause interruption.
4. Provide not less than 72 hours’ notice to Owner of work activities.
1.07 WORK RESTRICTIONS
A. On-Site Work Hours:
1. Normal business working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday without prior
approval by Owner.
2. Weekend Hours: Upon approval by Owner.
3. Legal Holidays: No work.
