NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE – COOPERSURGICAL ALLY II UTERINE POSITIONING SYSTEM
The Department of Veterans Affairs, C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center, intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order with Tryco Incorporated for the following CooperSurgical equipment:
Estimated Value: $30,998.00
The Government's market research indicates that Tryco Incorporated is the only small-business source identified to date that has successfully supplied the required CooperSurgical ALLY II equipment to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Government intends to procure the CooperSurgical ALLY II Uterine Positioning System and associated carts on a Brand Name/Sole Manufacture basis because of the equipment's required compatibility with CooperSurgical uterine manipulators currently utilized by the facility and the Government's clinical and operational requirements.
The ALLY II Uterine Positioning System is required to provide hands-free uterine manipulator positioning, stable static holding, controlled articulated positioning, operating-table mounting, and compatibility with the facility's existing CooperSurgical uterine manipulators. Maintaining compatibility with existing equipment and established surgical workflow avoids replacement of currently utilized manipulators, additional validation, retraining, and associated changes to current minimally invasive and robotic-assisted gynecologic procedures.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. However, the Government will consider responses received from responsible sources demonstrating their ability to satisfy the requirement.
Interested parties that believe they can provide the required CooperSurgical ALLY II equipment shall submit documentation demonstrating their capability to furnish the exact items identified above. Responses should include, at a minimum:
The Government will evaluate all timely responses received to determine whether a competitive procurement is appropriate. A determination not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. **See Post RFQ 36C24826Q1195**
If no response demonstrating the capability to satisfy the Government's requirement is received by the closing date and time, the Government intends to proceed with the contemplated sole-source acquisition.
Responses shall be submitted by email to Lakiesha Anderson at Lakiesha.anderson@va.gov no later than 9 September 2026 / 12:30PM Eastern Time.
