Production of Online Mandatory Training Video Series

The Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors is authorized by KRS 335.515(6) to require licensees to complete ten (10) continuing education hours for renewal each year. Additional mandatory training for licensees is required as follows: KRS 194A.540 and 201 KAR 36:030. Section 1.(3) requires completion of a three (3) hour course in Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation within three (3) years of the date of initial licensure. The training must include the dynamics of domestic violence and elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation on adult and child victims; legal remedies for protection, lethality and risk issues, model protocol for addressing domestic violence and elder abuse, neglect and exploitation; available community resources and victim services; and reporting requirements; KRS 210.366(2) and 201 KAR 36:030. Section 1.(4) requires completion of a six (6) hour course in Suicide Assessment, Treatment and Management every six (6) years; and 201 KAR 36:030. Section 1.(5) requires a three (3) hour training on the Kentucky laws regulating professional counseling every three (3) years.

Travel will be reimbursed at actual expenses with mileage at the current state reimbursement rate. Hourly rate will not be paid while in travel status.

Miscellaneous costs will be reimbursed upon submission of receipts (i.e. postage, copies, supplies, etc.)
