Description: The North Meck Park Greenway will consist of a trailhead and asphalt and concrete trail segments with concrete approach pads where stream crossings occur. The total length of the segments is approximately 0.86 miles and consists of one mainline -L- segment and three -Y- connections. The proposed construction also includes two pedestrian boardwalks supported on timber piles, a retaining wall at the trailhead, and additional greenway amenities (shade structure pavilion, fitness stations, arbor swings and other furnishings). The Town of Huntersville (“Town”) seeks a construction, engineering, and inspection (“CEI”) firm to provide engineering technicians and inspectors to perform the requested construction materials testing (“CMT”) and special inspections (“SI”) services. Based on review of the project documents, special inspections will be required for retaining walls, boardwalks, and soils. The technicians and inspectors shall work under the supervision of a project manager and professional engineer from a CEI firm that is familiar with the project requirements. The expected construction duration for substantial completion is 300 consecutive calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed.
