RFI #121724 Consultant Services- Comprehensive Online Education Initiative

The State University of New York (SUNY) is requesting input from providers of online program management technology and consulting services in the higher education field. The online degree and certificate program services described in this RFI may be used by SUNY System and all SUNY Campuses, including Community Colleges (attached as a schedule). SUNY further seeks information on the market for potential providers that are capable of providing all of the services described in this RFI, potential providers that may provide a portion of the services directly and portions of the services through subcontractors, as well as potential product offerings and business models for each.

The purpose of this RFI is to acquire information regarding the potential online education consulting and software solution options and strategies that currently are available in the marketplace. It is anticipated, but not guaranteed, that SUNY will use the information received from this RFI to develop a future procurement for Consultant Services for a Comprehensive Online Education Initiative.

The objectives of this RFI are to: 1) develop a general understanding of the current state of vendor capabilities, including but not limited to research, project management and analytics, marketing and recruitment, student engagement, technology, learning and instructional design, quality assurance, constituency engagement and development, student support services, change management, financial modelling, and personnel resources; 2) obtain vendor feedback regarding operating and financial models, leading practices, services available, and pricing structures; and, 3) solicit vendors’ perspectives on the future direction of technology for the various functions associated with the design, development, and support of online education programs.
