Industry Cluster Analysis RFWP (2025008-ED-C)

The purpose of this Request for Written Proposals (RFWP) by the City of Harrisonburg, Virginia (City) is to solicit written proposals from firms (Offeror) to conduct an industry cluster analysis to gain a better understanding of the Cityâs current strengths and future growth potential. The project should identify industry clusters that exhibit strong potential for future growth and creation of high value employment, as well as analyze the feasibility of supporting the development and growth of target economic sectors. Factors such as the talent pool within the city and its commuter base, and unique assets that contribute to cluster growth should be incorporated. The study will focus primarily on the city, but also incorporate the dominant industry clusters in adjacent Rockingham County. The cluster analysis will be a component of the comprehensive local economic development strategic plan.
