Pleasant Grove Pump Station Reconstruction - Contracts 25S-1A- General Construction and 25-S1B- Electrical

Project Description: Sealed bids will be received online by Westtown Township via PennBid, until 11:00 A.M. prevailing time, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at which time they will be opened online and posted via PennBid for:
PLEASANT GROVE PUMP STATION
RECONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT 25-S1A, GENERAL CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT 25-S1B, ELECTRICAL
This project generally consists of but is not limited to, replacing the existing wet/dry well pump station with a precast submersible pump station including new wet well and valve vault. Additional work includes, but is not limited to, installation of a new force main to connect to the existing force main at the road, new natural gas service for emergency generator, water service line with yard hydrant, installation of new influent gravity sewer, natural gas generator (generator and ATS to be procured and provided by the Owner), site improvements and chain link fencing. Also included in the scope of work is the demolition of the existing interior components of the pump station building including removal of electrical and mechanical equipment, concrete demolition, and filling the subgrade wet/drywell with stone and capping with concrete. The proposed electrical/mechanical equipment and pump controls will be housed in the existing building.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the order of Westtown Township, or a Bid Bond in favor of Westtown Township in the amount of 10% of the bid price. Said check or bond shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, must be paid to workmen employed on this project.
A Pre-bid Conference will be held at the Pleasant Grove Pump Station, 1147 S Concord Rd, West Chester, PA 19382 at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days of the date of the bid opening.
Westtown Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities.
