Demand Electrical Consulting Services for Data Centre and High Availability Electrical Systems
Synopsis:

This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by SaskTel to prospective Suppliers to submit proposals for the provision of On-Demand Electrical Engineering Design Consulting Services, specific to Data Centre and High Availability Electrical Systems, as further described below (the "Deliverables").
SaskTel maintains a small multidisciplinary group of Electrical Engineering staff in Regina who may be required to consult with an external Electrical Engineer for the provision of electrical design consulting services in support of SaskTel projects that vary in size and complexity. Such projects could include the renovation, or new design, of telecommunications equipment buildings or data centre facilities. These facilities require mission critical power systems with complex emergency power and uninterruptible power systems. These projects often include multi-disciplinary coordination.
The Supplier will be responsible to apply in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering consulting services to designs in commercial and industrial facilities. Proficiency will be required in the design of mission critical electrical facilities and traditional buildings electrical systems. Specific areas of expertise in the design of high availability electrical systems include medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, power generation including large diesel standby units, and uninterruptible power systems including battery systems. Implementation of these systems may require detailed design or analysis of electrical protection and coordination settings, arc-flash studies, and advanced monitoring & control systems. Proficiency is also required in electrical buildings design (fire alarm, lighting, network, security). Competence will be required in all relevant codes related to electrical systems.
