CSO 045, 083 Sewer Seperation and Rehabilitation

The City of Fitchburg is seeking sealed bids for the CSO 045, 083 Separation/Rehabilitation Project, Contract 26-104 (CWSRF Project No. 19049). The scope of the work under the base bid includes approximately: construction of 7,250 lf of PVC sewers; construction of 17,900 lf of DI, HDPE, PVC, and reinforced concrete drains; construction of up to 6,750 lf of DI water mains; installation of 202 manholes; installation of 27 double barrel structures; installation of 12 sump structures; installation of 56 catch basins; installation of 35 curb inlets; 1 lump sum easement construction; and associated paving and appurtenances.

The scope of the work included under Alternate No. 1 includes approximately: open cut repairs in 8 locations; replacement of 3 wyes; installation of 11,700 lf of cured-in-place pipe; cutting 72 protruding service connections; grouting of 1 lateral; installation of 12 cured-in-place lateral liners; cementitious lining of 360 vf of manholes and catch basins; building 15 manhole benches and inverts; replacement of 19 manhole/catch basin frames and covers/grates; replacing 2 catch basins; miscellaneous rehabilitation and concrete repairs of 645 lf of culverts; and associated appurtenances.

General Contractor Bids will be received at the office of the Chief Procurement Officer, City Hall, 718 Main Street, Suite 208, Fitchburg, MA until Friday, May 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM, and at that time and place publicly opened and recorded. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid meeting and Site Visit will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Department of Public Works, 301 Broad Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420. Bidders shall examine all information and materials contained in and with this solicitation. Failure to do so shall be at the bidder’s risk.
