Digital Boundaries Group is a specialized penetration testing company that was previously used by the City of Calgary to perform penetration testing on a web application called Voterview that was going to be used for the Calgary Catholic School Board By-election in January of 2025.

During the penetration testing of Voterview multiple vulnerabilities were identified that were previously unknown, which demonstrates the expertise and rigour that Digital Boundaries Group has when performing penetration testing.

As preparations for the 2025 General Election that is to be held in October begin, Elections Calgary and Coporate Security would like to secure Digital Boundaries Group as the sole vendor to perform penetration testing for all associated web applications involved in the 2025 General Election program.

The reason/justification we would like to use Digital Boundaries Group for all testing is because:
Digital Boundaries has previous experience with testing election-focused web applications.
Elections Calgary currently has harsh time constraints with the General Election scheduled for October and does not have the time to go back to market for each round of penetration testing.
The findings of the penetration testing are confidential in nature and having multiple companies become aware of identified vulnerabilities presents reputational risk.
