THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please review the instructions in the bid documents on how to register as an electronic bidder. The bids are to be prepared and submitted at www.biddocsonline.com.

The City through its Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management – Facilities Division is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into an agreement to renovate a staff kitchen and break room. Estimated cost of the project is One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00).

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be received until 2:00 PM on May 30, 2025, publicly opened, forthwith online.

The City of Springfield, invites electronic bids from Prime Contractors through biddocsonline. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes. Chapter 149 requires that the Prime/General Contractor be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management in the category, “General Contractor.”

Site Visit: Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit at 90 Berkshire St, Indian Orchard, MA 01151 scheduled for May 21, 2025 at 3:30 PM. Contact: Rafal Toczko, RT Architecture, Inc; rtoczko@rt-architecture.com with inquiries concerning the pre-bid site visit. This meeting will provide an opportunity for interested parties to inspect the site and all particulars and resolve questions regarding the scope of work, existing conditions and the specifications.

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available May 14, 2025 at www.biddocs.com (may be viewed electronically and downloaded at no cost) or hard copies may be purchased at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167).

Questions must be submitted in writing to the City (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) by close of business on 5/22/25 in order to be considered. The City of Springfield goal of twenty percent (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
