Scope of Services
Scope: The successful Bidder(s) shall be responsible for providing petroleum system inspection, testing, repair services, and related compliance activities at the prices specified herein during the term of the agreement to be used on an as needed basis by the District. The performance of the successful Bidder(s) shall be in accordance with the terms of the specifications set forth herein. Failure to comply with these requirements may be cause for Bid rejection or award cancellation.
The purpose of the contract is to prevent, detect, and correct releases of hazardous substances from storage tanks to protect human health and the environment. To ensure compliance, the contractor must designate Class A, B, and C operators as required by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). The bid consists of the following.
VCS requires the services of a State of Florida Certified Pollutant Storage System Contractor to perform routine scheduled monthly and annual inspections and testing, in accordance with FDEP guidelines, for all aboveground storage tanks (ASTs), underground storage tanks (USTs), fuel dispensing equipment, and related electrical, mechanical, and plumbing infrastructure. The contractor will also perform necessary repairs to bring storage locations into compliance with FDEP standards.
