Description: Project Coordinator: Erin Fonseca Email: efonseca@goldsboronc.gov Phone: 919-735-4959 The City of Goldsboro, North Carolina, is soliciting proposals from highly qualified environmental professional(QEP) firms to provide comprehensive services for brownfield assessment activities. This Request for Proposals(RFP) is issued in conjunction with the Cooperative Agreement (Grant Number BF-03D22624-0) awarded to the City of Goldsboro by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This Cooperative Agreement, with an effective project period from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2028,provides $500,000.00 in total federal funding for brownfield assessment activities. The EPA will cost-share 100% of all approved budget period costs, up to and not exceeding this total federal funding amount. The program code for this grant is BF (Brownfields Multipurpose, Assessment, Revolving Loan Fund, and Cleanup Cooperative Agreements). Brownfields are defined as real property, the expansion, development, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant. The primary objective of this project is to inventory, characterize, assess, conduct cleanup planning, and engage in community involvement activities related to brownfield sites within the City of Goldsboro, North Carolina.
