Overview
Summary

Construction will consist of restoration of the arroyo channel bed and banks by installing gabion retaining walls and riprap, as well as repair of the asphalt trail and pedestrian railing. This work is to repair the trail and improve stormwater conveyance within the channel to mitigate future hazards associated with flooding.

Background

In 2018, a large flood in the Arroyo de Los Chamisos resulted in a significant erosion event along the urban trail reach behind Santa Fe High School at the Votech crossing.
