The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to draft specifications and standards to accommodate a variety of design solutions and processes, and to encourage a broad vendor base.

NAVSEA is preparing draft:

* MIL-PRF-28876/4F w/ AMD 2, Connectors, Fiber Optic, Circular, Receptacle Style, Multiple Removable Termini, Screw Threads, Wall Mounting, with 90-Degree Backshell, Environment Resisting;

* MIL-PRF-28876/9F w/ AMD 2, Connectors, Fiber Optic, Circular, Plug Style, Multiple Removable Termini, Screw Threads, with 90-Backshell, Environment Resisting;

* MIL-PRF-28876/14F w/ AMD 2, Connectors, Fiber Optic, Circular, Receptacle Style, Multiple Removable Termini, Screw Threads, Jamnut Mounting, with 90-Degree Backshell, Environment Resisting;

* MIL-PRF-28876/28E w/ AMD 2, Connectors, Fiber Optic, Circular, Plug and Receptacle Style, Multiple Removable Termini, Screw Threads, 45-Degree Backshell, Environment Resisting; and

* MIL-PRF-28876/29F w/ AMD 2, Connectors, Fiber Optic, Circular, Plug and Receptacle Style, Multiple Removable Termini, Screw Threads, 90-Degree Backshell, Environment Resisting.
