Bids will be accepted under seal to the Owner for interior renovation work at the Omega House, per the construction
documents issued on this date. Scope of work includes selective interior demolition, wood framing, interior finishes,
HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical.
Owner will receive Bids at the office of the Architect (address listed above), until 3:00 PM local time on the 7th day
of April 2026, at which time and place the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids not received by the
indicated time will not be opened.
Bidding Documents for a Stipulated Price contract may be obtained by contacting UPEA, whose contact information
is listed above, as PDF documents via email at no cost. Paper documents may be obtained for a non-refundable fee
of $100 per set.
Documents will also be available for viewing at the office of the Architect and at the following Builders Exchanges:
Iron Mountain-Kingsford, Marquette, Northwest Michigan, Builders Exchange of Wisconsin, and McGraw Hill
Construction-Dodge, Wausau.
A pre-bid meeting and walk-through will take place at the existing building located at 2211 Maureen Lane.,
Houghton, MI 49931 at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Bidding contractors are encouraged to attend.
Bidders will be required to provide a Bid Bond according to the requirements in Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to
Bidders. Submit your Bid on the Bid Form provided. Refer to other Bidding requirements described in Section 00 21
13.
Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission.
Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to accept or reject any or all Bids.
