Project Title: PARKS PAVEMENT REPAIR & REHABILITATION
Description: Base Bid: Mobilization, removal and replacement of asphalt pavement at Lake Johnson, Lions, and Glen Eden Tennis Parks consisting of approximately 1,651 tons of Asphalt Surface Course and approximately 13,394 square yards of asphalt milling. Quantities for asphalt pavement, asphalt milling, and curb and gutter are included in the estimated quantities shown in the Schedule of Prices. (See Figures 1 through 3 at the end of the Project Manual.) At the Glen Eden Tennis Parking Area, additionally raise and extend the shoulder of a drive aisle to allow a handicap accessible parking space and adjoining access aisle, install curb and gutter and a handicap accessible sidewalk to connect the parking space to a nearby, existing ramp that accesses nearby tennis courts, and grade the immediate area abutting the new handicap parking space/access aisle such that stormwater drains, via a flume through the new curb and gutter along its existing drainage path to the lower corner of the existing parking spaces. (See Figure 5 at end of the Project Manual.) Grading work shall include demolishing and disposing of any existing parking space pavement that cannot remain in place under the expanded shoulder or its associated fill slope. Patching at the above locations consisting of approximately 270 tons of Asphalt Binder Mix. ?? Patching at the above locations consisting of approximately 270 tons of Asphalt Binder Mix. ?? At the Lions Park location remove/replace two existing speedhumps (2 each). ?? At two of the locations, furnishing and placement of 8,890 feet of thermoplastic pavement markings and 46 thermoplastic pavement marking symbols. Bid Alternate 1: ?? Removal and replacement of asphalt pavement at Carolina Pines Park consisting of approximately 385 tons of Asphalt Surface Course, approximately 3,378 square yards of asphalt milling, patching of approximately 40 tons of Asphalt Binder Mix, installing one new speedhump and removing/replacing one existing speedhump (2 each). See Figure 4 at the end of the Project Manual. ?? If Bid Alternate 1 is accepted by the City, mobilization shall be bid as a separate amount from the mobilization included in the base bid.
