Summary:The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) for General Contractors and Class A Builders. The purpose of this RFQ is to prequalify contractors for participation in the bidding process for future NRHA rehabilitation projects in its public housing communities, construction of new homes throughout the city of Norfolk, site preparation and installation of modular homes, and to partner with Contractors on our large-scale transformative projects.
This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will result in the selection of multiple General Contractors and Class A Builders. The successful parties will demonstrate through their respective responses that they possess the necessary qualifications and experience.
NRHA encourages small businesses and businesses owned by women and minorities and disabled veterans to compete and encourages non-minority firms to provide for the participation of small businesses and businesses owned by women and minorities through subcontracting, partnerships, joint ventures, and other contractual opportunities.
Interested General Contractors and Class A Builders with a track record of success in producing quality products and the desire to comply with city, state and federal regulations are encouraged to respond. Minority, women owned, and small businesses are also encouraged to respond.
