Description
The City of Edmonton (the “City”) invites participants to submit responses for thisSourcing Event to pre-qualify participants for Alley Renewal Construction projects which shall include excavation, curb, gutter, sidewalk, private crossing and alleycrossing reconstruction, catch basin installation, granular base placement, asphaltic concrete resurfacing, milling of existing asphaltic concrete, alley lighting, installation, topsoil and sod placement, tree planting, and all incidental work as outlined in the referenced plans.
The City intends to issue sourcing events to the pre-qualified participants in order to select general contractors for some of the City’s multi-year projects starting in the 2025 construction season, using the Design Bid Build project delivery model and the City’s standard Design-Bid-Build contract (modified as needed for each particular project). The City may issue up to three (3) Covered SourcingEvents, if the capital budgets for the relevant projects are approved. The projected completion for these projects ranges from 2025 to 2026, depending upon the project.
The City requests that participants submit their response to this sourcing event preferably 25 but at least 14 calendar days before the City issues a Covered Sourcing Event in which the new participant is
interested.
Participants must score at least 70% or higher on the City’s evaluation in order to be added to the list of prequalified participants. The method for evaluation is described in the Sourcing Event Documents posted on SAP Ariba. Later, in order to bid on Covered Sourcing Events related to this prequalification, participants will need to provide bid security and have an ISNetworld (ww.isn.com) current subscription and have certain required documents and a passing grade on its Company Profile. A “passing grade” is a grade of A, B, or C.
For clarity, ISNetworld (ww.isn.com) current subscription will be a pre-condition of award, while bid security is a mandatory requirement for bid submission.
This Sourcing Event falls within the scope and is subject to the applicable provisions of the New West Partnership Trade Agreement, Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement, Chapter 19 of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, and the Canada-United Kingdom Trade Continuity Agreement. The list of prequalified participants resulting from this Sourcing Event may be used for procurements covered by these agreements.
