Project Description: Sealed proposals for Tennis Court Renovation will be received by Solanco School District via PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com on April 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., prevailing time, at which time and place all proposals received will be publicly opened and read immediately.
Project consists of the reconstruction of six tennis courts located on the high school campus. Work includes, but not limited to, demolition, new fencing, paving, court surfacing, and all associated site work. A pre-bid conference will be held on March 24th at 1:00 at the project site, 585 Solanco Road, Quarryville, PA 17566. Questions regarding the bidding documents shall be directed to the project Landscape Architect via the “Ask a Question” feature in PennBid only.
Bidding Documents can be obtained at no cost on PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/.
All proposals shall be submitted electronically to the SOLANCO School District via PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/ by the due date and time. Proposals may be withdrawn, altered or otherwise modified within PennBid at any time prior to the due date and time.
All proposals shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after bid opening date, unless delayed due to required approvals of another governmental agency, in which case bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty (120) days in compliance with Pennsylvania Act #317 of 1978, approved November 26, 1978, and as amended December 12, 1994, and shall be accompanied by 10% bid guarantee, payable to the Owner.
This project is subject to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry’s Prevailing Wage Determination and applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, the Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum rate as promulgated under provisions of said Act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work. Notice is also given that the project for which construction bids are being received is subject to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, the Act of October 27, 1955, P.L. 744, as amended and supplemented.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive, at its discretion, any or all irregularities, mistakes, omissions, or informalities relative thereto.
