LEGAL NOTICE
Sealed bids will be received by the City Engineer on behalf of the Director of Administration,
City of Wooster, State of Ohio, at the office of said City Engineer, 538 N. Market Street, Wooster,
Ohio, 44691 until twelve o'clock noon, Thursday, January 22, 2026 for the Oldman Road Water
Tank Painting in accordance with the specifications on file in said office.
Project Description: This project consists of the interior and exterior painting and tank repair work
of the 1,000,000 gallon elevated water tank on Oldman Road.
Project Cost: The Engineer’s estimated construction cost for this project is $470,000.
Project Completion Date: No work shall start until after April 1, 2026. All work shall be
completed by September 1, 2026.
Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same, and be
accompanied by a bidding bond or a certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid price as a
guaranty that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance secured
OR provide a contract bond for 100% of the bid amount.
Copies of the contract documents are on file in the office of the City Engineer, City of Wooster,
Ohio and are available for inspection by prospective bidders in the office or on the city’s bidding
information webpage https://www.woosteroh.com/engineering/bidding-information. Bidders
must register for the plans through the city’s ViewPoint website. Bidders must be registered for
their bids to be considered. Bid book and plans will be sent electronically.
Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Wayne County
and the City of Wooster, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use
Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally,
contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio
Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s
Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
Bidders are required to use the forms which will be furnished on application.
