Lapeer Community Schools is accepting sealed bids for Pre-Owned School Buses:

One (1) 53-passenger Special Needs Type C2 Bus, 2024 or newer, with less than 45,000 miles. The bus must be equipped with: Cummins 6.7L 220hp Engine, Air Brakes, Air Rear Suspension, 60-gallon Fuel Tank, 255/70R22.5 Tires, 70,000 BTU Minimum Air Conditioning with Chassis Tie-in, Rear Lift Door with Braun Lift Gate, Omit Wheelhouses, 3-5 Wheelchair Locations, (3) Sets of Wheelchair Securements, (11) Track-mount 39" Passenger Seats to include (6) Integrated Child Seats per seat and Lap Belts, Air Entrance Door, Heated Mirrors with 15-minute Timer, (2) Hatches, (2) Push-out Windows, Radio, Student Reminder, 12-Volt Power Supply, Strobe Light, (2) 40,000 BTU Rear Heaters, 270 AMP Alternator, (3) 1131 12V 2775 CCA Batteries, Adjustable Steering Column, Backup Alarm, Stainless Steel Manifold Plumbing, Front Block Heater Receptacle, Electromagnetic On/Off Fan Drive, Buses Keyed Alike

We may award One (1) 77-passenger Type C Buses, 2024 or newer, with less than 50,000 miles. The buses must be equipped with: Cummins 6.7L 220hp Engine, Air Brakes, Air Rear Suspension, 100-gallon Fuel Tank, 11R22.5 Tires, Air Entrance Door, Heated Remote Rearview Mirrors, Heated Crossview Mirrors, Stainless Steel Mirror Brackets, 15-minute Heated Mirror Timer, Vandalocks, (2) Hatches, (4) Push-out Windows, Radio with Inside Page, Student Reminder, 12-Volt Power Supply, Strobe Light, (2) 84,000 btu Rear Heaters, Full Acoustic Headlining, Driver’s Seat with Air Pedestal and Right-side Armrest, (3) 1131 12V 2775 CCA Batteries, Block Heater, Adjustable Steering Column, Backup Alarm, Stainless Steel Manifold Plumbing, Electromagnetic On/Off Fan Drive, Buses Keyed Alike.

Any remaining transferrable OEM Limited Warranty will be transferred to LCS.

The vehicles must substantially meet or exceed current MSBO Aggregate School Bus Bid Specifications.

Sealed proposals will be received until 1:00 PM on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Lapeer Community Schools Administration and Services Center, 250 Second Street, Lapeer, MI 48446. Bid proposals received on or before the Due Date will be opened and read aloud by the Owner, or its designee, at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 6, 2026.
