Austin Energy is currently responsible for providing in-house Lean Six Sigma training. This is
only a small part of our job duties. AE does not have the bandwidth to increase the number
of cohorts we run due to instructor and classroom space availability. Field personnel also
find it difficult to attend in-person learning at another site. Therefore, AE has a need for an
online platform that can provide this training. Austin Energy is looking into online training
options to make the courses easier for employees to access. AE may continue offering in-
person classes or use them to supplement the online training, depending on what's
available.
