The Health and Human Services Commission, for and on behalf ofits Health and Specialty Care System Division, is soliciting Competitive SealedProposals for selection of a General Contractor to provide general constructionand construction administration services to the Owner for Project No.22-301-ENG - Lighting Retrofit in accordancewith the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in thisSolicitation.

This Solicitation is being issued to select a Contractor forthe Project as provided by Texas Government Code, Section 2155.144(b-2)and Chapter 2269, Subchapter D.

Project Summary:

HHSC is seekinglighting retrofitting services for multiple Contract awards for capitalconstruction projects. The scope of work includes, but is not limitedto, the following:

a. Demolition and preparation for new work.

b. Reference division 26 for project scope and requirement.

c. Pre-retrofit site survey to spot check as required.

d. Turnkey installation of all work as perspecifications/code.

e. Post retrofit site survey to ensure light levels meet orexceed existing. And to serve as as-built documentation for record.

f. Lamps and ballast recycling as required.

g. All work performed to comply with NEC.

h. All work performed by contractor to comply with HHSCsafety standards/protocols

Project Estimate : The approximate cost for construction ofthe Project are as follows:

Denton State Supported Living Center:$880,227.00

Rio Grande State Center: $249,170.00

Lufkin State Supported Living Center:$258,667.00

Brenham State Supported Living Center:$572,038.00

Waco Center for Youth: $205,140.00.

Optional Pre-Proposal Webinar and Mandatory JobsiteVisits

HHSC will conduct one (1) optional pre-proposal webinar thatwill be held on the date and time described below. Attendance at thepre-proposal webinar is optional, and attendance at one (1) site visit ismandatory.

Mandatory JobsiteWalkthroughs: All Respondents arerequired to attend one Facility Site Visit as specified in Section 2.3(Schedule of Events). Potential Respondents should be prepared to complete oneof the scheduled tours; additional tours will not be offered.
