NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of Maumelle, Arkansas, will receive sealed bids at Maumelle City Hall, 550 Edgewood Drive, Suite 590, Maumelle, Arkansas, 72113, for the purchase and delivery of trees, watering bags, planting soil, root fertilizer and mulch until August 28, 2026, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders shall submit one complete copy of the bid in a sealed envelope.
This purchase is funded in whole or in part through the Energy and Environment Innovation for the Natural State grant program administered by Metroplan with funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The City’s current target is up to 102 trees, including:
Up to 29 Red Maples
Up to 36 Oaks, including 30 Willow Oaks
Up to 1 Redbud
Up to 6 Magnolias
Up to 30 mixed evergreen trees
The bid should also include:
3 cubic yards of blended planting soil
40 pounds of root fertilizer
3 cubic yards of single-hammer hardwood mulch
120 watering bags suitable for larger trees
The City has a fixed project budget. Bidders should recommend the tree sizes and quantities that will provide the best overall value, considering tree health, survivability, species and available funding. Final quantities and sizes may be adjusted based on cost.
The bid must include the proposed species, sizes, quantities, unit prices, planting materials, delivery charges and total cost. The City of Maumelle Parks and Recreation Department will plant the trees. The selected vendor will be responsible for delivery only.
