Addendum No. 1 – Questions and Answers

The City of New Bern is issuing a second solicitation for Statements of Qualifications from qualified Design-Build firms or teams for the Skate Park Design-Build Services project at Seth West Parrott Park.

The City received fewer than three qualified responses during the initial solicitation. In accordance with N.C.G.S. § 143-128.1A(d), the City is soliciting again for Design-Builders. If fewer than three qualified responses are received as a result of this second solicitation, the City may proceed with negotiations with the highest-ranked qualified Design-Builder in accordance with applicable North Carolina law.

The scope of work, anticipated project budget, evaluation criteria, submission requirements, and other terms of RFQ Parks & Rec 27-01 remain unchanged, except for the revised submission deadline stated in this notice.

Electronic and fax submissions will not be accepted.

I recommend adding this sentence because you already received one package:

A respondent that timely submitted a complete Statement of Qualifications under the initial solicitation is not required to resubmit unless it wishes to revise or supplement its submission. The City will retain and consider the previously submitted SOQ as part of the second solicitation process.

That avoids making the existing respondent unnecessarily recreate its package while still keeping the procurement record clean.
