The United States Mission in Nigeria intends to award a noncompetitive contract extension to the incumbent contractor for the continued provision of Group Medical Covoverage (GMC) Health Insurance Services.
This action will extend performance under Contract No. 19N10221D0001 for a period not to exceed six (6) months, in accordance with FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services, following approval of a Justification and Approval (J&A) for other than full and open competition. The extension is required to ensure continuity of mission-critical health insurance services while the Government completes a competitive follow-on acquisition.
The Government has determined that only the incumbent contractor can continue to provide the required services without unacceptable disruption to operations during the transition period as detailed in the Justification and Approval document.
This notice is published in accordance with FAR Part 5 Publicizing Contract Actions.
