Description:

The work for the Sherbrooke Avenue Sanitary Sewer Pump Station shall consist of, but not be limited to, the complete and satisfactory construction of the following: Removal of an existing Smith & Loveless suction pump dry well set on top of an existing six (6) foot diameter concrete wet well (to remain), additional six (6) foot diameter precast concrete barrels extending the existing wet well up to surface grade, submersible pumps, ductile iron piping, transducer and backup floats, one (1) six (6) foot diameter precast check valve vault, sewer bypass during construction, sewer piping connection to existing force main, electrical transfer switch, electrical service line, conduits, and wiring connections, VFD/control panel, sitework as necessary and anything else incidental to the proper completion of the project as outlined or implied in the Plans and Specifications.

No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of ten percent (5%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. All bid securities will be released upon deliverance of a signed Contract or, if no Contract award is made, within forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Proposals, unless forfeited as herein stipulated.
A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, preferably executed on AIA Bond Form Number A311, in an amount equal to the total Contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent, will be required of the successful bidder to ensure completion of the work and the proper fulfillment of the conditions of the Contract. The total Contract price shall mean the total bid price as stated in the Proposal based on the estimated quantities of the various items of work.
